Obituary for Agnes Coulas

Agnes Ellen Coulas (Belaskie)
May 13, 1923 - July 2023

On July 5th, 2023, Aggie, after a long anticipated wait, left this world for her eternal home.

In her 101st year, she enjoyed over 100 years of life, 95 in her own home, and leaves behind 3 sons, Allan (Jennifer), Kevin (Judy), and Daniel (Monique). Fondly remembered by her 5 grandchildren, David, Stephanie (Adam), Andrew (Keirsty), Michael (Fiancé Rachel) and Lindsay, and 5 great grandchildren, Madeline, Elsie and Jacob Dewit (Stephanie) and Cadence and Carly Coulas (Andrew). Predeceased by her parents Walter Belaski and Mary (Murack), her husband Ambrose, and siblings Josephine Laughlin (Tom), Bronis Belaski (Irene), Theresa Young (Joseph), Mary Golka (Sylvester), Dominic Belaski (Marcella), Julia Young (Joseph), Ambrose and Martha. Survived by her sister Florence (Schram - Late husband Peter). There are many nieces and nephews who grew up alongside this close nit family.

She was loved and admired by the dozens of children she cared for over 4 decades at her home on Joseph St. in Kitchener. Her giving spirit made everyone feel special and wanted. She spent her days with a deep faith that involved praying for everyone she knew, and excluded the needs of no one. She loved knitting, sewing, cooking fabulous 9 course meals, and making every holiday a very special occasion for her family.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Cambridge Country Manor, her home for the last 6 years, for the truly outstanding care they provided her, especially during the extreme circumstances brought on by two Covid outbreaks and her subsequent serious illnesses. Their care and attention was extraordinary, and highly commendable, with too many staff to thank to begin mentioning names.

Funeral to be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home in Kitchener on Monday, July 10th, 2023 at 10:30am with public visitation available 1 hr before the service at 9:30am. Reception to follow. There will be a graveside ceremony at Williamsburg Cemetery at 1:00 pm following the lunch. A virtual tribute will be posted by various members of the family on the Henry Walser Funeral home's website.
