The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Adolf "Adi" Schweitzer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Dear Annmarie, Elli & family We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of Adi. Our deepest sympathies to you all. He was a very special man. I have fond memories of him at your cottage & also when he came to visit us in CT. It was our pleasure to know him & we really enjoyed your visit Elli with Adi. I found this lovely picture of him taken in our bar in New Haven! The following poem makes me think of Adi - The Lake Isle of Inisfree by WB Yeats I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree, And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made; Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee, And live alone in the bee-loud glade. And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow, Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings; There midnight’s all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow, And evening full of the linnet’s wings. I will arise and go now, for always night and day I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore; While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey, I hear it in the deep heart’s core.
