Condolence: Dear Adrienne,

I just heard this afternoon about Steven. Please accept my sincere sympathy. We are still missing your wonderful husband, and now, to hear of Steven’s home-going. I pray that you will have family and friends around when needed, and perfect peace, trusting in the greatness and goodness of Our Heavenly Father, at all times. You are loved! Thank you for being who you are, and giving us these 2 Godly men. Heaven with Jesus, and all the saints of the LORD, is our glorious eternity. Our citizenship is in heaven. It is hard to imagine “no more death or mourning or crying or pain... No need of the sun or the moon, for the glory of God gives it light and the Lamb is its lamp... there will be no night there.”

God bless you!

Condolence: I remember Steven from my early days working for "Camp Horizons" up in Paisley Ontario. He always had a smile beaming from ear to ear and each year upon his return to camp, Steven would greet each returning staff by name even though he hadn't seen them since the previous summer. During talent night, Steven would often put on a performance of his impressions that he could do and the one that always got the encore call was his impression of Ernie from Sesame Street. I remember Steven coming back from a mens night out event from the near by race track and spending the next day telling staff in great detail all about the cars, the winner the cars that crashed and the food that he ate. He loved spending time in the community around camp and could often be seen helping someone else who just needed a friend. Steven was a friend to all.
Steven may you now rejoice sitting at the feet of the One who created you knowing that the race you ran was well done by a good and faithful servant.
May we all try to be the example of Christ in our every day lives as you were.

Condolence: I remember meeting Steven when I was about 10 years old.
My sister was dating (& is now married to) John McNeill so our family would attend occasional events at Benton Street Baptist church. Each time I met Steven as a child, I was curious about who he was & found him so friendly. I have worked at CH for 15 years & a few months ago began a contract at Waterloo SIL - what a delight to reconnect with Steven & have the privilege of supporting him. From the first day, he was warm & patient. He brought out his photo albums to show me his family & proud moments in his life --- he has ALOT of photo albums. I have been a privilege to be part of the SIL team supporting Steven. And it has been a blessing to serve many, many others in my 15 years working at Christian Horizons. Thank you, Reese family, for sharing Steven with us & the world. We are all better for it. What a man of faith he was! I know he is in heaven with his Dad and many others ... & he is with Jesus!!! What a comfort!!!

Condolence: So close to the loss of his dear Dad. I knew Steven when I worked in Kitchener. This is quite a shock and must be very hard on the family after the recent loss of Rev. Reese. Please accept my deepest condolences. He has gone to join his Lord Jesus and reunite with his Dad. I pray for God's strength and comfort for all of you at this time, especially Mrs. Reese. My prayers will be with you.

Condolence: It is just wonderful to imagine the homecoming celebration that greeted Steven when he was welcomed into Jesus's loving arms. Some considered Steven to have special needs but this is another time that we can thank God for the special blessing that we all found in this fine man who loved Jesus simply and passionately. What a wonderful testimony to our world and example to all of us! Thanks for sharing the gift of Steven with so many. Praying for you all as you gather to give honour to both Steven and His wonderful Saviour.
