Gone to be with the Lord on November 14, 2019 at the age of 83 with his family by his side. Beloved husband to Pat for 42 years. Loving Dad to Joe (Marie), Kim Park (Darin) and Kelly deVries (Phil). Cherished Papa to Christina, Eric, Matthew, Anthony, Taylor, Sheyanne, Cody, Brandon and Alex and Great Papa to Breanna, Leena and Jameson. Predeceased by his parents Rudolfo and Amelia and siblings Norma Hauss and Bert, Bruno, Steve, Tony and Dino Piotto. Joe was a past elder and member of Kitchener-Waterloo Christian Fellowship for 36 years. He was the Plant Manager for Morval Durofoam in Kitchener and Glendale Mobile Homes in Strathroy. He was a past president of the Mannheim Optimist Club, Wilmot Citizen of the Year (1995) and a die-hard fan of the Toronto Blue Jays.
Joe's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday November 20, 2019 and from 12:30-1:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the chapel on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kitchener-Waterloo Christian Fellowship Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
