Condolence: I’m saddened to learn of Al’s passing. While I was more a friend of Carol, the Benson home was a focal point for lots of us when we were kids and Edna was welcoming to us. Al was the big brother who was amused by us, tolerated us, but also was a role model for neighbourhood kids. R.I.P.

Condolence: I am sorry to hear about Al's passing. Please accept my condolences. Al and I go back to the 1960's when we both attended Malvern Collegiate Institute. I was also at Ryerson P. I. In the late sixties. I was informed of Al's passing from a mutual friend, Hank Salin. We are still in touch but it's probably been close to fifty years since I have seen Al. Hank kept me advised about Al over the years. I remember a week that we all stayed at Hank's parents cottage on Rice Lake. Good times. Looks like Al had an active life. I won't be able to attend the celebration of life but I will be there in spirit. Take care.
