Weiss, Norma Effie:
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Norma Effie Weiss (nee Johnson), of Kitchener. Norma passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 in her 89th year. She will be profoundly missed by her loving husband of 63 years, Gerald, and her children, Steve and Brenda. Norma will be lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, caring neighbours and cherished friends. Predeceased by her parents, Frederick (1981) and Effie (nee Muller, 1986), and her siblings; Freddie (1925), Audrey Weist (2005), Betty Hall (2014), and Donna Duby (2014); all of Guelph.
Cremation has taken place. A reception will be held on Thursday, October 12th, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Refreshments will be provided. The family extends sincere gratitude to Dr. Gerald Rosenstein, the nurses, and the medical support staff of the Grand River Hospital - Hemodialysis Unit for their skill and care throughout the years.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Renal Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
