Priddle, Ruth Evelyn, (nee Hodgkinson)
Passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 surrounded by the love of her family.
Ruth is predeceased by her husband, Professor George Priddle. Loving mother of Charles (Katie) and Alex (Katelyn). Proud Grandma of Nathan and Thomas. Dear sister of Nancy (Ken Fry). Ruth attended the University of Toronto and was later asked to teach at the University of Waterloo. Here as a professor she started the dance program from which she founded the Carousel Dance Company and continued sharing her passion for dance well into her retirement. She spent her retirement travelling and in the past few years enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Ruth's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. A private family interment to be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sunbeam Centre, 2749 Kingsway Drive
Kitchener, Ontario N2C 1A7 (519) 893-6200 would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
