The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Elmer Potz can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

A Man of Numbers a Man of Prayer

Dear Uncle Elmer   God blessed you with an amazing memory which you used to bless others.  Year after year you always knew when our birthdays were.  Thanks for all the phone calls and Birthday wishes continuing even up to last summer 2015.  How did you do it?  I would hear your voice on the phone and would think you never seem to grow older, how do you sound so young? Thanks to you and Marie for being adopted grandparents for my children. They deeply appreciate your involvement in their lives over the many years.

Stan and I have been deeply blessed when visiting you over the last few years.  Your life has been such a testimony to us. Your many stories of how you shared Christ with all your care givers and those at your table where you ate so reminds us of why God put us here.  You always talked about how much God had blessed you and how much you had to be thankful for. You never complained about your aches and pains and were always so interested in what was going on in our lives. Thank-you. You have shown us how to grow old with purpose and grace. Every time we visited you we would leave feeling refreshed and lifted up.

Most importantly of all you were a man of prayer. You have prayed for me and my kids for many many years. It was such a comfort to know that your prayers surrounded us even up to your last days.  We will miss you, but we rest in this confidence that you are now absent from the body and present with our Lord and those who have gone before.

Love Virginia
