BENNINGER, John Stephen - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Trinity Village Care Centre, Kitchener on Monday, April 11, 2016 in his 101st year.

Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Benninger (nee Sutter - 1999). Dear father of Grant (Judy) of Kitchener, and Brian (Theresa) of Florida. Loving grandpa of Kim deHaan (Steve) of Collingwood, Lynn Benninger of Kitchener, and Steve (Jen) Benninger of Michigan. Great-grandpa of Luke, Timothy and Andrew Benninger of Michigan and Carter and Brooklynn Lipskie of Kitchener.

Predeceased by his brother William O'Connor, sister Marie Waechter, grandson Gregory Benninger, parents Basil and Marie Stefanyshyn, and his adoptive parents George and Hedwig Benninger.

John retired in 1980 from J. M. Schneider Inc, where he worked for 40 years.

Respecting John's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held with committal at Woodland Cemetery.

The family wishes to give special thanks to all of the kind staff of Trinity Village Care Centre who cared for John the past eight years.
