Holowaty, Richard (Rick)

Passed away after a brief illness with his family at his side on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, at the age of 57. Beloved husband of Hilde (nee: Konnerth). Loving father of Katie, David, and Jason and his wife Jessica. Dear brother of David and his wife Angie, Janice Kroetsch and her husband Rick, and Paul and his wife Angela. Son of the late Michael and Mary Ann Holowaty. Lovingly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Fondly remembered by his loyal companion Sammy.

Rick was a career employee of J.M. Schneider's and a long time member of Rockway and Doon Golf Clubs.

Richard's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Parish prayers will be recited Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015, then procession will be made to St. Aloysius R.C. Church 11 Traynor Ave. Kitchener for the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment Parkview Cemetery, followed by a reception at the church.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
