You don't know me but I attend the Well Fit class at the U of W. Your son's obituary is on the bulletin board at class and while doing my stretches I see it each time I'm there. Your son looks like my own son, who passed away 8 years ago in a car accident. We lost sons under totally different circumstances but I know how difficult it still is for me living without my son Mark. You have my deepest sympathies.

I had the opportunity to volunteer with Mike for a couple of years at the Emergency Food Hamper Program. He was always so friendly to everyone who walked into the program. He was very funny, too. I remember him telling jokes while we were waiting to give out hampers! I always looked forward to volunteering with him. Mike will be greatly missed.

I am glad that my life was momentarily intertwined with Mike's at the Kitchener Lawn Bowling Club. His suffering and death have reminded me of the preciousness of all life. One day not too far down the path that lies ahead, something happy and cool will happen and you'll find yourselves looking up, smiling and saying "Thanks, Mike!". Best to everyone in his family. PS to DAVE: Don't forget that lawn bowling is still alive and well if you feel you need something new to do. I am at Heritage now. Daryl
