Obituary for Michael John Cattanach

Cattanach, Michael John:
Passed away after fighting a courageous six year battle with cancer, with his loved ones by his side, on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 30.
Treasured son to Dave and Nancy Cattanach.
Remembered by his loving brother Jeff (Natalie) Cattanach.
Forever in the heart of his cherished girlfriend Christine White.
Dear grandson of Brenda Brown.
Predeceased by his grandparents Jack Cattanach and Madeline and Ward Dunbrook.
Survived by his aunt Carol (Dennis) Nafziger and cousins Sheena, Sam and Jon and his uncle Bill (Jill) Dunbrook and cousins Carson and Spencer.
He was a sports enthusiast who was a walking book of sports trivia, especially when it came to the Toronto Blue Jays. He was an avid 5-pin bowler and played Waterloo Minor baseball and hockey. Mike enjoyed coaching Waterloo minor hockey for several years. He was a longtime volunteer with the House of Friendship Emergency Food Hamper Program.
Mike's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral Liturgy service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 1 p.m. Internment at Woodland cemetery, followed by a reception back at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Donna's Kids or the Food Bank of Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
