Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 86.

Beloved wife of the late Gustav Ulmer (2010). Loving mother of Richard (Danielle Lynch), Susan (Dave Wittie), Michael and the late Robert Ulmer (2012). Dear Oma to Meaghan, Zachary, Alexandria, Ryan, Nylan, Jessica, Tyler and Kaitlyn Ulmer and great-Oma to Mikala and Maxwell. Judy will be remembered by Shelley Ulmer (Bandoni).

Judy lived a challenged life escaping from East Germany to West Germany, landing in Montreal with what belongings she had in a pillow case. While on the boat to Montreal she met the love of her life Gustav. They moved to Kitchener and were married. She was employed at Schneiders, Arrow Peabody and Sprolls Bakery. She stayed at home with her family for many years and volunteered with K-W Hospital where she received a 25 year award. Judy was an avid gardener and had a gift for growing orchids, loved baking, her neighbours of Dalewood Drive, her pets and the cottage in Muskoka.

Judy's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday (today) from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, from 10-10:45 a.m. The memorial service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception.
