The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sherwood Gossman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Remembering Woody

I spent many a day out cooling my heels at Woody's garage, while he and my hubby Jim worked away on this vehicle or that one. Jim spent some of his happiest days out there with Woody and he loved him with all his heart. Woody taught him everything he knows today about body work.

Woody and Rhea both were always so warm and gracious. I rememer Woody wandering off into the corn field to pick us a few fresh cobs for supper, and Rhea sending Jim home with fresh dug carrots from the garden.

We're both so sad today to know he is no longer with us, but at the same time, I'm certain he's in a new place where he's strong and sassy again and where's there's an endless supply of cars for him to tinker on.
