Born and raised in Kitchener, Jerry is proud to be a member of the Henry Walser staff after having retired as the manager of safety at a transport company. With Cheryl, his wife of over 50 years, he is the father of a daughter and two sons, along with their spouses, and grandfather of six.

 He enjoys family time, camping, photography, and photo editing. He remains connected with his friends in the trucking industry by volunteering at industry events, primarily the Truck Convoy for Special Olympics, which has raised over $1,00,000 in the last 15 years to support the Special Olympians.
