Obituary for Hendrikus (Hank) Albertus Vercouteren

Hendrikus (Hank) Albertus Vercouteren
Hendrikus “Hank” Vercouteren passed away at Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care Home on 10.21.2019 in the gentlest way possible, with his wife Colleen holding his hand. Hank is survived by Colleen, his beloved dog “Lady”, siblings, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and a brother and sister. Hank was a lover of classic cars, water sports and fishing and most of all his home which was his comfort. He will be remembered for his design of several buildings in the KW area, most notably the International Gospel Center on Charles Street in Kitchener. His keen mind, capable of designing wonderful projects, failed him with his diagnosis of Dementia, but the disease never took his kind smile or the light out of his spirit. Thanks to the staff and palliative services at Chartwell Westmount for excellent care of Hank.
