Obituary for Josephine Ann Côté (Nowak)

Josephine Ann Côté (Nowak)
Côté, Josephine

Passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at her home at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late Gaetan (2008). Loving Mom to Adrien (Gaby) and Marty (Carrie). Cherished Babcia to Simone and Noelle. Dear sister to Irene, Janet, Mary, Laura, Anne, Walter and John. Predeceased by her sister Clara, and brothers Stanley and Casimer. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews.

She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. We will dearly miss hearing her passionately cheering on the Maple Leafs and Blue Jays, her love for a good chit chat, her ability to sing a song for any occasion, and most of all her presence. A devoted teacher for her whole career in Waterloo Region. Josie also spent much of her free time helping others by volunteering for charities including Canadian Food for Children and St. Vincent de Paul.

Josephine's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (parish prayers at 7:00 p.m.) on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 49 Blueridge Avenue Kitchener, on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery followed by a reception at the church.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Food for Children would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
