Condolence: Tante Selma has left an indelible mark in my heart for her hospitality and love. We have pictures that remind us of her kindnesses to us but your whole family will always be in our thoughts with much gratitude. We are with you in spirit tomorrow as you celebrate her life. So sorry for the loss but so thankful for the sweet memories.
With love,

Condolence: Our families … The Hahns and the Sanders … grew up together in the comforts of Central Baptist Church in Kitchener. As immigrant families our lives revolved around the church community and our circle of friends, which included the Hahns.

We of course remember the Kaffee und Kuchen Sunday afternoons growing up and I still enjoyed those treats 40 years later when mom and I would visit John and Selma in Florida.

Our mom passed away in January and now they are together looking over us.

We were clearing out mom’s retirement residence in Stratford in February. We were about to throw out a book of quotes but thankfully opened it before doing so. It had been signed by all the Frauengruppe in the 1980’s and the dedication to my mom was written by Selma. The book now has a meaningful place on my memorial shelf.

Condolence: I have such fond memories of Tante Selma over the years - her joyous laughter, Sunday afternoon meals with both of our families together, family trips to Florida with beach walks and seashell picking, and of course, the kuchen! Tante Selma, was a close friend of mom's, and given both have passed from this earth within the recent months, I'm sure they're having a lovely kaffeeklatsch together! Onkel John, Wilf, Vernon, Carmen, Sylvia and Andy, may you find peace during this time.

Condolence: We have such delightful memories of times spent with Selma; sharing a cup of coffee and a piece of her special apfulkuchen; enjoying the sharing of stories of our lives; watching grand-daughters grow; singing hymns of praise and enjoying the sound of a piano. It is Selma's smile and welcoming heart that will be missed by those who knew her well. Our condolences on her passing. Ian and I are thankful for the faith that strengthened Selma. This 'temporary' separation is hard to bear, however, faith tells us that we will meet again. We pray that her family will be comforted in the telling of "Selma Stories" over and over again.
