The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Doris Solmes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Jean Bennitt
Condolence: My sincere sympathy to your family in the loss of Doris. My father, Ivan Cunningham was Doris's half brother. When my dad's father, John Cunningham remarried after the death of his first wife, he had a total of 11 children, six from the first and 5 from the second marriage. I remember Doris and Reg visiting my folks in Peterborough and seeing them at their Lakeshore Camp cottage. Doris was such a lovely, gentle and kind person. I am glad that she had a long and happy life.I have thought of her often over the years.
