Frank, Nikolaus "Nick":
Passed away on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 at his home at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Katie. Loving Dad to Heidi Pernfuss (Tom) and Rick (Vicky). Cherished Opy to Katie, Nick and Jackie. Loving partner to Lyn Kennedy for 27 years. Survived by his sister Anna O'Rourke, brother Matt, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Milla-Petereit and her husband Ziggy and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers, John and Phillip, brothers-in-law Tony and his wife Anna Milla, George and Joe.
Nick Immigrated to Canada in 1953. He spent most of his career as a night superintendent of G.M. Schneider's. In his retirement years, he enjoyed helping at his son's butcher shop in Stratford. Nick will always be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews as the uncle who always had time for them. He selflessly was their boat driver at the family cottage.
The family would like to especially thank nurse Vanessa, whose care for Nick was exceptional.
Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
Nick's family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Schwaben Club, 1668 King St. East Kitchener. A private family interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Tumaini Children's Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
