Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Lisaard House at the age of 79.
Beloved father of Shawn McKelvie (Elaine) and Ron McKelvie (Diane)
Dear grandfather of Patrick and Michael (Ashley) and great grandfather of Carter Bennet
Remembered by Mary McKelvie.
Carl will be missed and remembered by his brother Ray McKelvie (Georgina) and sister June Maycock (Wayne).
Predeceased by parents Chester and May (Connell) brothers Roswell McKelvie and Glen McKelvie.
Carl was a retired Meat Manager who worked at Hiway Market, Dutch Boy Food Markets, Greg's Food Basics and Central Fresh Market. He was a long time Kitchener Ranger Fan and was proud to serve on the Kitchener Rangers Board of Directors from 1996-2006.
Carl's family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 pm on Monday, February, 26, 2018 and on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 12:30 - 1:15 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. The memorial service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, followed by a reception.
Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
