Passed away at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Adelina (nee Miranda) for 64 years. Rogério is one of 10 children and is survived by his sister Rosa Santos and predeceased by his brothers Manuel, Miguel, Jose, João, Alfredo, Lafaete, and Gabriel da Rosa, and his sister Maria da Rosa. He is also predeceased by his in-laws Coniceição, Sensitiva, Sensitiva, Alice, Belmira, Virginia, and Francisco. He will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Rogério's family will receive relatives and friends from 9:15-10:15 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a procession to Our Lady of Fátima Church, 300 Simeon St, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Entombment Woodland Mausoleum. Reception to follow at Henry Walser Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the palliative care unit at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Grand River Hospital Foundation - Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
