Nitz, Philip:
Passed away on Sunday, January 21st, 2018 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 79.
Beloved husband of 53 years to Lydia (nee: Pfister).
Loving Dad to George (Nada), Steven (Marie), Thomas (Brenda), Jonathan (Jasmine), Christine (Andy), Timothy (Karen), Bethany (Adrian), Matthew (Rachel) and Ashley (Daniel).
Cherished Opa to 38 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Survived by his sisters Leni and Rosi.
Will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Germany.
Philip's family will receive relatives and friends from 6- 9 pm on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Thursday, January 25th, 2018 from 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm. A service will follow in the chapel at 1 pm.
Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery.
Reception will take place at the Apostolic Christian Church, 1880 Strasburg Road, Kitchener, following the interment.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Life Song for Orphans Canada or ACCMBC- Mexico Little Hands Orphanage would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
