Passed away at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Guelph following a lengthy battle with ALS on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Erwin (2017). Loving Mom to Joseph and his wife Sarah. She will also be deeply missed by her brother Henry Putre (Carol), sister Erika Kramer (Al) and her nieces and nephews. Marlene was a strong, loving person. Her strong faith helped Marlene deal with the adversities she faced in life.
Marlene's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 305 Laurentian Dr. Kitchener, on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery, 1541 Fischer-Hallman Rd., Kitchener, with a reception to follow in the church hall. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the ALS Society of Canada or Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
