Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Hospice Wellington in Guelph on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the age of 57. Beloved husband of Tarra Gersdorf-Cordeiro. Loving Dad to Joey (Aimee), Candice (Scott) Prontack and Step Dad to Jordan and Logan Gersdorf. Cherished Papa to Landon Prontack, Amelia Cordeiro, and Weston Joe Prontack on the way. Dear son of Maria and the late Deodato. Loving brother to Carlos (Barb), Maria Maloney, Dave (late Olive), Louie and George. Dear brother-in-law of Alan Wyatt (late Karen), Ron Gard (late Tracey), Darlene Hayes (Mike) and Trudy Gard (Rick Arsenault). Joe and his wife Tarra found love, friendship, and a mutually caring and supportive relationship. Together, with a passion for the outdoors and nature, many road trips and travel excursions were enjoyed, especially camping in Canada and the United States. Joe loved his family, with unwavering affection for his mother, and was blessed with two children, Joey and Candice. Joe felt great joy and happiness for his beloved grandchildren, Landon and Mia. Joe was a dedicated employee of the Orkin Canada family for 36 years. He was an avid Nascar enthusiast, loved the Habs and a good round of golf. He cherished his time with his many good friends playing poker, golfing, fishing and going to football games. A Private Family Service will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Cremation has taken place.
