Obituary for Eileen Marie Malleck (Quinn)

Eileen Marie Malleck (Quinn)
Eileen Marie Malleck (nee Quinn):
Eileen passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, with her family lovingly by her side, on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late Gerald (2007). Loving Mother to Gay Malleck (Tom Cassidy), Bud Malleck (Fiona), Pat Malleck, Maureen Malleck (Cliff Cotterill), Holly Snider (late Don - 2012), Michael Malleck (Jill) and Joe Malleck (Elaine). Cherished Grandma of 17 and Great-Grandma of 8. Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Edna Quinn and her brothers, Jack Quinn and Tom Quinn.
Eileen was a talented artist, avid tennis player and music lover (piano and ukulele). She was fun-loving and feisty. She was the most enthusiastic cheerleader of all our endeavors and accomplishments, big and small. She was the Founder of the Wozijoy, the best listener and the keeper of all family records and news.
We would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to Mom's devoted and caring Home Care nurses, Katie and Gillian and to all the "angel" nurses at Freeport who took such good care of Mom over this past week.
Eileen's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (parish prayers at 3:30 p.m.) on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017 followed by a procession to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church for Eileen's Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Friends are welcome to join the family in the church hall for a reception after mass. Cremation to take place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Freeport Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
