Obituary for Robert (Bob) John Barclay

Barclay, Robert John (Bob)
Passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the age of 56. Beloved husband of 37 years to Wanda Barclay (nee Skinn). Dear father of Ryan (Angela, son Maxwell and a daughter on the way), Linsey (daughter Claire), and Lauren. Survived by his parents, Stewart Sr. and Elizabeth Barclay, his sister Jacqueline Shantz (Paul) and his brother Stewart Jr. (Kelly). Fondly remembered by his wife’s family, in-laws Henry and Doreen Skinn, brothers Wayne Skinn (Alison) and Ray Skinn (Cathy) and sister Sandra Davidson. His aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews will all miss him.
Bob was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland then moved to Canada in 1973 with the Barclay clan. He met the love of his life Wanda and married in 1980. He was passionate about his career, starting out in the maintenance department at the Breslau Oil Re-Refinery, which then changed ownership to the Safety-Kleen Services Inc., where he became Plant Manager. He worked between Canada and the US as a great leader and was well respected by his colleagues. He spent his last couple of years working as a consultant on the start-up of another oil re-refinery plant in Indiana, US. He had to put aside his career to take care of his health which became the biggest battle of his life...he fought hard until the end.
A special thank you to Betty from CCAC, Donna from CarePartners and Germa (GG) from Bayshore for being there when we needed you.
