Obituary for Donald Howard Reesor

Donald Howard Reesor
Reesor, Donald "Donnie" (Veteran - WW II)
Passed away peacefully at Clair Hills on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Vicki nee Hergott (2007). Son of the late Min and Bill Reesor. Loving brother of Joan and her husband Don Archer. Uncle Donnie will be sadly missed by his niece Shannon (Shane) Henkel and their children Jaime and Joel; nephew Chris (Kim) Archer and their children Taylor and Jake; and nephew Pat (Andrea) Archer and their son Andrew. Fondly remembered by the Hergott family. Donnie was a tail gunner in WWII and completed 32 missions. His working life was spent at BF Goodrich as a lab technician and foreman. Donnie was a voracious reader and avid participant and fan of sports. He was a Master Bowler (5 pin) and loved to golf at Rockway Golf Club. Donnie spent over 60 years golfing and golfed into his 90's. At one point he contributed one out of two holes-in-one at the same hole in the same game. For years he enjoyed his golf trips to the United States with Vicki and his golfing friends. Although small in stature his heart, spirit and love for people was oversized. Donnie was one of the most generous people you could ever meet.
Donnie's family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday and will continue from 10-10:45 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Following the visitation there will be a Celebration of Donnie's Life in the Chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment Memory Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Visit www.henrywalser.com for Donnie's memorial.
