It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Fitzpatrick, at the age of 72, on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Innisfree House.
After a long battle with cancer, Mike died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of forty-seven years to Pat, Dad to Lisa (John), Pops to Michael, Poppy to Charlie and Jackson and labradoodles June and Cash, and dear brother to Charlotte, Carm and Bett, Mike will be deeply missed. Mike held a special place in the lives of his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Tributes will be shared at 4:00 p.m. Mike will be cremated and his ashes will be taken “HOME” to St. Lawrence, Newfoundland.
A special thank you to Dr. Lana Tan, to the hospice staff, and to the staff at Innisfree House for their care and support.
As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to Innisfree House. (Cards available at the funeral home.)
