Please excuse the tardiness of this sympathy note but I just learned of Dave's passing. I wanted all of you to know how much he meant to me as a high school coach and mentor. I learned a little bit about sports and competitiveness from Dave, but a whole lot more about being a good person. I considered Dave to be a role model and still think of him that way.
