Passed away unexpectedly at Stirling Heights Long Term Care on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, just having celebrated his 89th birthday on September 21st. Beloved husband of the late Alice (2014). Loving father of Christine Jackson (Robert), David (Peggy), Linda Sonnenberg (Herb), Brenda Nickle (Brian), Mark (Andrea) and Jane Symington (Scott). Proud Grandpa of Stefanie MacGregor (Mark), Mark Sonnenberg (Brittany), Michael Sonnenberg (Marika), Jonathan Egilo, Laura Egilo, Michelle Symington (Ryan), Christopher Symington, Matthew Nickle (Christine), Tammy Nickle (Adam), Trisha Grieve (Glen), Kimberley Nickle (deceased), Ryan Jackson (Jen), Jason Jackson (Ingrid) and great-grandfather of Owen, Liam, Kallee, Landen, Julian, Evelyn, Connor, Ethan, Victoria, Kaden, Jordan, Erin, Brandon and Nathan. Predeceased by his brother Stan.
Ed's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A private memorial service will be held. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
