Passed away at home, surrounded by family on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the age of 59.
Beloved soulmate of Gay Goulding.
Cherished father of Renee and papa of Savana, Anthony and Faith.
Loving son of Marilyn and the late Gordon "Bob" Fries.
Dear brother of Douglas, Dennis (Tami), David (Leta) and Christine Bowman.
Survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Will be missed by many friends, especially Serge, Leona, Don and Louise.
Predeceased by his grandparents; Hilda and Roy Johnston and Margaret and Fred Fries and his nephew Charles Fries.
Darrel's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, immediately following the visitation, at 3:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to KW Humane Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
