Obituary for Ronald Stephen Prokopowicz (Prokopowicz)
Prokopowicz, Ronald
Passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Grant) Prokopowicz for 55 years. Loving father of David (Laura), Michael and Bradley. Dear grandfather of William (Nichole), Blake, Eric, Matthew, Amanda, Stephanie and great-grandfather of Elizabeth and Noah. Predeceased by his sister Shirley Sauve and Larry Prokopowicz.
Ron was the co-owner of the Stanley Park Sunoco for 25 years and recently the owner of Stapar Motors in St. Clements for 18 years.
Ron's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 12 noon - 12:45 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a private family reception.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
Special thanks to the caregivers at Pinehaven and St. Mary's Hospital 5th floor for all their care and support.
