Pond, Ivor John:
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of Lyn. Loving Dad to Jeff (Sarah), Steve (Jenn), Andy (Debbie), and Joanne Webb. Cherished Grandad to Jessica, Krissy, Michael, Stefanie, Erin, James, Trevor, and Nicole. He will also be missed by his "grand-dogs" Charlie and Max and best friend, Adrian Webb.

Ivor lived a wonderfully active life. From running up the hills of Chicopee to being an active member of the YMCA and racquetball community for over 60 years, Ivor became a mentor, a father-figure and a friend of many. His sense of humor, stories, and shared wisdom will be greatly missed by all whose paths crossed with his.

Ivor's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 pm - 3:45 pm on Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 4:00 pm with a reception to follow at Milton's Restaurant, 2979 King St. E., Kitchener. Private cremation.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the KW Humane Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
