Roach, David (Dave)
passed away peacefully at home on Thursday October 5, 2017 after a courageous fight with cancer for two and half years. He was 52 years old. Dave will forever be remembered by his wife Michele (McBride) and their son Rylee, along with his sisters Judy (Tim) and Muriel (Larry) and sister-in-law Karen. He will be missed by Jim and Arlene McBride, Patrick (Kathy), Deb (Mike), nieces, nephews, as well as his best friends Wally and Wanda. He is predeceased by his mother Ellen May, father Louis, sister Donna and his brother Ronald. Born on March 30, 1965, in Kitchener Ontario, he was the youngest of five children. For over 25 years, he was a dedicated employee at Enertech Maintenance Contractors.Special thanks to Dr. Donna Ward, nurse Mia from CCAC and Dr. M. Bahl at the Grand River Cancer Centre for their compassionate care.
A Celebration of Dave will take place on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Victoria Park Pavilion, 80 Schneider Ave., Kitchener, from 12-5 p.m. Memories of Dave will be shared at 1:15 p.m. In true Dave style, he has requested this casual gathering while we raise a beer in his memory. Cremation Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home (519) 749-8467.
In lieu of flowers, Dave has requested donations to the Terry Fox Foundation (cards available at the funeral home). Please visit www.henrywalser.com to view Dave's memorial.
