Passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 89.
Beloved husband and best friend of the late Maria Albertina Ferreira (August 10, 2017).
Loving dad to Elisa (Benarus) Leonel and to Orlanda Couto.
Cherished Vôvô to Steve, Brian, Mark, Kevin and Jennifer.
Survived by his sisters Elisa Belo and Amalia Vargas, of Azores, Portugal.
Predeceased by his sister Manuela Da Luz and his brother Antonio Martins Ferreira.
To the amazing nurses at the Freeport Palliative Unit, thank you for your loving care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 300 Simeon St. Kitchener, today (Monday, August 14, 2017) at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Freeport Hospital, care of the Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
