Jewer, Shirley (nee Coyle);

Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, at the age of 74. Devoted and loving wife of Arnold Jewer of 56 years. Cherished and loving mother of Shirley Eckensweiler (Peter), Jolene Jackson (Bill) and Keith Jewer. Adored and loved Nanny to Ashley Miles (Ken), Megan Jewer (Mark Briden), Corey Eckensweiler (Tiffany Lawlor), Brandon Jewer, Mackenzie and Parker Jackson, and Great-Nanny to James, Sophia, William and Brody.

Dear sister of Frank (Ollie) and Robert Coyle and predeceased by her parents, the late George and Mary Coyle and siblings Joe, George, Eddie, Patrick, Andy and Sis (Marion) Christie and nephew Joe Christie.

Special thank you to the physicians, nurses and staff at St. Mary's Hospital and Grand River Hospital, especially Dr. Jackson.

Shirley's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. with parish prayers at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be recited on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home and then to St. Marks Catholic Church, 55 Driftwood Dr., Kitchener where the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Williamsburg Cemetery. Following the interment a reception will take place at Conestoga Place.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
