Passed away at home, surrounded by family, on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the age of 76.

Beloved husband of Maria Amorim for 52 years.
Loving father of Victor (Carmen), Elizabeth Berger (Michael), Thomas (Beth), Fatima Renda (Cosmo), Bernadette Holl (Rick), Tina Yates (Philip) and Sandi Daly (Chris).
Cherished Grandpa of Teresa, Victoria, Brandon, Hayden, Jenna, William, Simon, Brigit, Andrew, Sophia, Maddy, Owen, Elliot, Jonas, Elise and Graham and Poppy of Quentin.
Dear brother of Conceicao (the late Amandio), Isaura (the late Manuel), Joe (Rosa), Manuel (Pierina), Antonio (the late Lourdes) and Rosa (Manuel).
Survived by sisters-in-law Ludovina and Maria Louisa and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Francisco and Jack.

Joe's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne's R.C. Church, 268 East Ave., Kitchener, ON on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Kitchener Portuguese Club.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
