Vlasic, Gerald "Jerry":
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 at his residence at the age of 93.
Beloved husband of Lucille for 65 years.
Loving dad to Allan (Ruth Ann) of Kitchener.
Cherished Grandpa to Allison, Kelly Ann, Grant and Ashley.
Predeceased by his parents Frank and Rosa.
He was employed with Burns Meats (the original Dumart's) for 46 years until his retirement. During World War II he served in the RCAF. He was a past director and member of the 404 Wing- RCAFA for many years. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting and the great outdoors.
A special thank you to the Emmanuel Village and Hospice Waterloo staff for their care and compassion given to Jerry.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial visitation will be held from 3- 5 pm on Sunday, June 5th, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
