Baker, Mervyn:
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at University Gates Nursing Home, Waterloo.
Mervyn was born June 28, 1946, the son of the late Vance Baker and Jessie (need Henderson), in Grey County. He was predeceased by one sister Barbara Walters.
Mervyn was a longtime employee at JM Schneider for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta, son Michael & his wife Jennifer Diehl, his two grandsons Ashton and Grayson, and his nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to Bert & Sandy Diehl, Stan &Shirley Diehl, Donna & Bob Wall, Roy & Joyce Walters and Judy & Bob Smith.
Mervyn's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m . The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. with a reception to follow. Interment Elma Centre Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
