Passed away Piraeus, Greece on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the age of 87.
Beloved wife of the late Shukri (Sotiris) Ibrahim.
Loving mother of Georgia Matrakis, Michael Ibrahim and Gus Ibrahim.
Cherished grandmother of Billy, Maria, Zakary, Sam and Stacey and great-grandmother of Grace and Georgia.
Dear sister of Irene and Athina.
Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother John.
Maria's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Trisagion Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. A funeral service will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church (527 Bridgeport Rd., Kitchener) on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery.
Maria has donated to many families in need both locally and in Greece. The family would like to continue to help families in need in Maria's honour. As expressions of sympathy, donations to support these families can be made at the funeral home.
