Rahn, Stanley Carl
Passed away peacefully at Oakville - Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the age of 96. Predeceased by his wives Rita Hentges, Gladys Strome and Thea Shevkenek. Loving father of Terry Rahn (Debbie), Wendy Schmidt (Allan) and Jill Neely (John) and stepfather of John Shevkenek (Lynda) and Sharon Shevkenek. Proud grandfather of Melanie (Sandra), Christopher (Tina), Aaron (Aurelie), Andrew, Paula (Nacho), Kevin (Talena), Taya (Jeff) and 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his 9 brothers and sisters. Stan was one of the most positive people you could ever meet. He was kind, funny, strong and loving. Stan loved the Lord Jesus and greatly looked forward to being in heaven. Private interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Stan's family will receive relatives and friends from 12-12:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial Service in the Chapel on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Salvation Army or World Vision Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
