Obituary for Christina Robyn Pearce

Pearce, Christina Robyn:
Passed away suddenly at People Care A.R. Goudie, Kitchener on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the age of 39 after a long and courageous struggle with Huntington's disease. She was born in Ottawa, Ontario on October 22, 1978.
Christina was a loving daughter to Dorothy (nee Gerber) and the late Bob Pearce (2014) and a cherished sister to Tim. She leaves her aunts Elsie Gerber, Alice (Paul) Yantzi, and her cousins Heidi (John) Bailey, Heather Yantzi as well as her aunt Kaye (Garth) Baumann and her cousins Lynn Siegrist (Tony Galindo), Karen Kamps, David (Shandel) Pearce . She is predeceased by her grandparents Frank and Kay Pearce, Dan and Laura Gerber and uncle Norm Gerber.
Christina grew up in Ottawa and attended Bells Corners Public School and Bell High School. Our family then moved to the Region of Waterloo where Christina received her B.Sc. degree in Environmental Science from the University of Waterloo in 2003.
Christina spent her last years at A.R. Goudie where she took great delight in keeping track of staff and listening to her music and watching her DVDs. She had many friends and loved the various activities. We want everyone at Goudie to know how much Christina loved living there and how important all of you were to her. Thank you for all of your acts of kindness over the last years.
Christina's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 7 p.m.-9 p.m and Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 9:30 am-10:15 am where the funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Chaplain Mike Foulger officiating. Reception to follow. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener following the reception. All are welcome at the graveside service.
