Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, ON on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the age of 94 with his family by his side.

Beloved husband of the late Ellie (nee Stuiver) who predeceased him in 1996.
Loving father of Yvonne Kingsbury and her husband Bruce and cherished Opa of Alicia Frey and her husband Andrew. Arie will be fondly remembered by his family: Ingrid (Rick), Shannon (Sean), baby Grayson, Jean (the late Donald), Willie (Al), Cora (the late John), Jan (Peter), Jan (Thecla), Marion (Arnold), Rinus (Lida) and family from the Netherlands.
Arie is the last surviving sibling of 6, he had 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Arie had made many friends over the years, and had wonderful caring neighbours.

Arie was born in Zwanenburg, Netherlands and emigrated to Canada in 1958 to build a new life for his family.

Arie’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. with memories being shared at 8:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association- COPD would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Bell and Dr. Claire Harlick and the nurses (Connie, Dragana and Sabine) from the 6th floor, for their excellent care.
