Passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at The Village of Winston Park at the age of 95.

Dear husband of Ruth (nee: Manders) for 70 years. Loving father of Kathryn (Angelo), Paul, Karen (George), Michael (Tara) and Marie. Cherished grandpa to Michael (Bonnie), Gregory, Jessica, Fraser (Stefanie), Kate (Christian), Meghan and great grandpa to Lily and Ruby.

Dear brother of Lois (Albert) Kelly, John (Karen) O'Brien and predeceased by Mary (John) Henderson. Fondly remembered by the O'Brien and Manders families.

Ray had a long career with the Post Office and for many years was the Post Master Kitchener Waterloo. He was a veteran of WWII having served with the Postal Corp. Ray was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus - Kitchener and a founding member of the New Dundee Golf Club.

The family is grateful for the care Ray received at St. Mary's Hospital and Winston Park and from Care Partners and Paramed Home Health Care.

Ray's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered under the auspices of the Knights of Columbus on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, 49 Blueridge Avenue, Kitchener, on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery followed by a reception at St. Francis Parish Hall.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to KidsAbility or St. Vincent de Paul Society - St. Francis would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
