I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

He was baptized at the age of 17, and was a faithful member of the Apostolic Christian Church (Nazerene) for 76 years, serving as a minister of the Gospel for over 50 years.
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Village of University Gates at the age of 93.
Beloved husband for 66 years of the late Jelisaveta Nechacov (2014). Loving father of 10 children John (Marioara), Gordana (Abel) Covach, Mary (Dushko) Dragojlovic, Elizabeth (Marc) Contrascere, Vesna (Gary) Webel, Steve (Carolyn), Mike (Svetlana), Paul (Barb) and Brenda (Thomas) Nitz. Dear father-in-law of Frank Baumann. Cherished grandfather of 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Milan (Lola) and Zivan (Ljiljana). Predeceased in death by his parents Svetozar and Danica (nee Dmitrovic) Necakov, his daughter Irena Baumann and his siblings Tinka, Sima, Jasa and Slavko.
A special thank you to the staff at University Gates - PSW, nursing and Palliative team for their excellent compassionate care.
Stevan's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. and will continue on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (519-749-8467). Funeral service 11 a.m. on Monday in the chapel of the funeral home followed by interment at Williamsburg Cemetery.
