SHAVER, Eva Audry (Hilborn)
Passed away peacefully on March 5, 2018 at Freeport Hospital.
Eva was born at Roseville January 23, 1932. Daughter of the late J. Stanley and Ina (Bingeman) Hilborn.
Survived by sisters Muriel and Robert Thomas (Salem) and Edna and Walter Wilhelm (Baden). Predeceased by siblings and spouses Rae and Edna Hilborn, Harry and Isabelle Hilborn, Evelyn and Charles Perrin, David Hilborn, Grace and Emmanuel Heintz.
In May 1967 she married William (Bill) Shaver of Binbrook who died April 1995.
Survived by stepchildren Shelia & John Little, Gloria & Clay Harrison, Linda Dobbie, Wayne Shaver, Treva & John Burgess, Donna & Brian Grice.
Also remembered by Hilborn nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, along with Shaver grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In younger adult years, Eva enjoyed working as a registered nursing assistant in Kitchener, Vancouver, Toronto and Burlington. Since returning to Kitchener in 1999, she had enjoyed living at Eastwood Community, past year at Conestoga Lodge and the last few days at Freeport.
Eva & family are thankful for the caring staff at Conestoga Lodge, Dr. Yew and the palliative care team. As well as the staff at Freeport Hospital and the support and care from Carol Hilborn, Ruth Trussler and Robert Heintz.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Eva's life taking place at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, on Friday, March 9th at 1:00 p.m. with Robert Heintz Officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Family burial prior to the service will be at Detweiler Mennonite Cemetery, Roseville.
In Eva's memory, donations may be made to MAF (Flight Fund), Faith Mission Canada or a charity of your choice.
