Obituary for Tadeusz Nowak
Nowak, Tadeusz (Ted)
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Eufronzyna (Danuta) Nowak for 65 years. Loving father Casey and Les. Dziadzi to Shawn, Daniel and Chantelle; Kristen, Darren and Branden. Great-grandfather of Kai, Aili, Samantha, Ella, Sofia and Isaiah. Dear brother of Stanislawa Futrzynski of Poland and the late Janina Weglewski.
Ted was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion - Polish Veteran's Branch serving as President for nine years and served many years as a vice-president and secretary. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Church singing in the choir for over 40 years. Ted also served as president of Grupa Czwarta #4.
Ted's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8:30 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. Legion service 7:15 pm and holy rosary at 7:30 pm on Friday evening. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10:20 am followed by procession to Sacred Heart Church, 66 Shanley Street, Kitchener for a Funeral Mass at 11 am.
Interment Woodland Cemetery followed by a reception at Royal Canadian Legion - Polish Veteran's Branch.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sacred Heart Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
