Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at St. Mary's Hospital on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Stanley (1989). Loving mother of Henry (Susan) and Richard. Babcia to April (Matthew) Durrer, Alysia (Bradley) Jantzi, Abby (Ryan) Jantzi, Michael Cocker (Patricia Skinner), Paul (Nicole) Cocker and Christopher (April) Draus. Great Babcia to Carter, Clark, Alora, Lana, Layne, Larson, Alexi, Sadie, Chloe, Everly and Isla. Dear sister of Helen Ilowski.
Predeceased by her two infant daughters, Jadwiga and Irena, parents, and brother Claude Holdenmeyer. Stella worked for over 20 years at the University of Waterloo. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society and the Seniors Club of Sacred Heart Church. She also volunteered at Sunnyside Home.
Stella's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, 66 Shanley St., on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall.
