Obituary for Jean Elizabeth Fretz-Wall (Fretz)

Jean Elizabeth Fretz-Wall (Fretz)
Fretz-Wall, Jean:
Went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 at Lisaard House at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Ron Wall. Loving mother to Dana Albrecht (Craig), Trevor Wall (Manyan), Jody Wall (Carolyn) and Amy Steffen (Mark). Treasured grandmother of Nathan, Esther, Emerson, Benjamin, Jack and Peter. Sister to Murray Fretz (Bev), Chris Collins, Harvey Fretz, Art Fretz (Marg), Glenn Fretz (Shirley), MaryAnn Smith (Jim) and Don Fretz.
Many students would remember her as a caring teacher and principal with the Waterloo Region District School Board. She lovingly served people at Glencairn Mennonite Brethren Church as a teacher in Women's ministry and leader in prayer. Her faith was the centre of her life. She prayed daily for her family and those around her. Jean had a wonderful sense of humour and a contagious laugh that showed the joy she received from a life well lived.
Jean's family are so grateful for the care of Dr. Califaretti and the Grand River Hospital Cancer Centre team. She was blessed by home care nurses Diane, Lasha and Diane. Thank you to the staff of 6th floor St. Mary's Hospital and especially Carmen. Special thanks to close friends Jane and Murray Baker for their friendship and support throughout the years.
Jean's family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Glencairn Mennonite Brethren Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
